Privacy Policy

Effective date: 14 September 2026 · Applies to insureonaccelerate.com

In short: if you fill in the enquiry form on our home page we collect your first name, last name, phone number and email address to arrange a quote. If you click through to our partner insurer instead, you provide your details directly to it under its own privacy policy. On this site we collect technical and advertising data (such as your device type, the pages you view, which age button you click, and the click ID from the advertisement you came from) to run the site and measure our advertising. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy is issued by Uleads Digital (ABN [[ABN]]), trading as InsureOn Accelerate ("InsureOn Accelerate", "we", "us" or "our"). We operate the website at insureonaccelerate.com (the "Site"). We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and, where they apply, the privacy laws of other countries described in section 12.

InsureOn Accelerate is an online advertising and referral service. We are not an insurer or financial adviser. When you request a quote, you do so on our partner insurer's website, and that partner is responsible for the personal information it collects from you.

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, how we keep it secure, and how you can access or correct it or make a complaint. It does not cover third-party websites, including our partner insurer's website and the publisher websites and advertising platforms (such as Taboola) that display our advertisements. Those websites have their own privacy policies.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you give us

If you complete the enquiry form on the Site, we collect your first name, last name, phone number and email address. We use these details to arrange a quote from our partner insurer, which may involve passing them to that insurer or its marketing partner so it can contact you. If you contact us by email, we also collect the contents of your message.

3.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect:

  • Device and browser data: IP address, approximate location derived from your IP address (city or region level), browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size and language settings.
  • Usage data: the pages you view, the links and buttons you click (including which age range or age you select), the date and time of your visit, how long you stay, and the page or advertisement that referred you to the Site.
  • Advertising identifiers: campaign parameters attached to the link you clicked, such as a Taboola click identifier (tblci), campaign and publisher identifiers, and UTM tags. These let us attribute a visit to a particular advertisement.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see section 5 and our Cookie Policy.

3.3 Information from third parties

We receive aggregated and click-level campaign reporting from advertising platforms (such as Taboola) and from the tracking and analytics tools we use. We may also receive confirmation from our partner insurer or its marketing partner that an enquiry or policy resulted from a particular click. This confirmation is normally tied to a click identifier rather than your name.

4. How we use your information

  • to operate, secure and improve the Site;
  • to measure and optimise our advertising, including attributing visits, clicks and enquiries to specific campaigns, publishers and advertisements;
  • to pass campaign and click identifiers to our partner insurer or its marketing partner so that your enquiry can be attributed to our referral and we can be paid for it;
  • to respond to your enquiries and complaints;
  • to detect and prevent fraud, invalid traffic and misuse of the Site; and
  • to comply with our legal obligations.

We do not use your personal information to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

5. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies, pixels, browser storage and URL parameters to run the Site and measure advertising. In particular:

  • Taboola Pixel: records that a visitor who clicked a Taboola advertisement viewed this page or clicked a button, so we can measure campaign performance. Taboola's handling of this data is described in Taboola's Privacy Policy.
  • Click tracking and analytics: our tracking platform and analytics tools record page views and clicks against the campaign parameters described above.
  • Preferences: we store your cookie-notice choice and campaign parameters in your browser's local and session storage so they persist while you browse the Site.

You can manage cookies through the notice shown on the Site and through your browser settings. Full details, including third-party opt-out links, are in our Cookie Policy.

6. Who we share information with

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Our partner insurer and its marketing partner: campaign parameters, click identifiers and the age range you selected, so that your enquiry can be attributed to our referral. If you complete a quote request on the partner's website, the details you enter there are collected directly by the partner under its own privacy policy, not by us.
  • Service providers: businesses that host the Site and provide click tracking, analytics, security, email and IT services, on the condition that they use the information only to provide those services to us.
  • Advertising platforms: Taboola and any other platform on which we advertise receive event data (such as page views and button clicks) through their pixels so that we can measure and pay for advertising.
  • Professional advisers: our lawyers, accountants and auditors, where necessary.
  • Government bodies, regulators and courts: where the law requires or permits it, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
  • A purchaser of our business: if we sell or transfer all or part of our business, personal information may be transferred to the new owner.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws (such as California's) treat the use of advertising pixels as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising; section 12 explains how to opt out.

7. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers and advertising platforms store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union and Israel. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps, such as contractual protections, to ensure it is handled in a manner consistent with the APPs.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include serving the Site over HTTPS, limiting access to systems that hold data, and using reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. How long we keep information

  • Analytics and attribution data: retained for up to 24 months from collection, then deleted or aggregated so that it no longer identifies you.
  • Enquiries and correspondence: retained for up to 3 years after our last contact with you so that we can respond to follow-up questions or complaints.
  • Legal and financial records: retained for as long as the law requires (generally 7 years in Australia).

When information is no longer needed for any purpose permitted by law, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

10. Access, correction and your choices

You may ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing privacy@insureonaccelerate.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within 30 days and will not charge you for making a request, although we may charge a reasonable fee for providing access in some circumstances. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing.

Because most of the data we collect is tied to a device or click identifier rather than a name, we may not be able to link it to you. In that case we will explain this to you.

Direct marketing: we do not send marketing emails, SMS or telephone calls unless you have asked us to. If you ever receive marketing from us, you can opt out using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. We comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth).

Advertising cookies: you can opt out of interest-based advertising through the links in our Cookie Policy.

11. Children

The Site is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Visitors outside Australia

European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the UK GDPR applies. Our legal bases for processing are: our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site and measuring our advertising (where those interests are not overridden by your rights); your consent for non-essential cookies and pixels, which you can withdraw at any time via our cookie notice or the opt-out links in our Cookie Policy; and compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Transfers of your data outside the EEA or UK are protected by standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

California

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you rights over your personal information. In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in section 3 (identifiers, internet or network activity information, approximate geolocation and commercial information about the advertisements you clicked). We do not sell personal information. We may "share" identifiers and internet activity information with advertising platforms for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can opt out of sharing by declining cookies in our cookie notice, by using the opt-out links in our Cookie Policy, or by enabling the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which we honour. You also have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@insureonaccelerate.com.

Other regions

If you are located elsewhere and believe local privacy law gives you additional rights, contact us and we will consider your request under that law.

13. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the APPs or this policy, please contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@insureonaccelerate.com or by post at the address below. We will acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or by phone on 1300 363 992.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on the Site with its effective date shown at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
